That evening, Koyomi encounters the rumored vampire.
Koyomi, usually a not-so social guy, takes a liking to Tsubasa’s down-to-earth personality. Tsubasa mentions a rumor about a “blonde vampire” that has been sighted around their town recently. Koyomi Araragi, a second year student at Naoetsu High School, gets to know a girl named Tsubasa Hanekawa, the top honors student at his school.
